Paper Architecture

Architectural Photo Essay

This publication was made for "Journey" by Honeyman+Smith Architects, a residential house that was nominated for the Victorian Architecture Awards.

The house was built in the rural town of Shoreham on the Mornington Peninsula.  Inspiration for the architects was heavily drawn from the surrounding layers of land and nature.

The publication was printed on tracing paper, and has two spines. The pages fold inwards and overlap each other. This allowed photos that were taken when visiting Shoreham to be directly paralelled with images of Journey. The layers of tracing paper lay out the visual affinity between the house and the nature around it.
